Shake Rattle Roll!!! Honky Tonk Man!!!!!

I guess I took the summer off, when the birds showed up I forgot what I was doing.... Im going to start off with a tribute to growing up in the 1980s and whats better than the WWF. My favorite was the Ultimate Warrior probaly cause I got to see him at the coliseum fight ,I think, Mr Wonderful. Here in Shippagan they hold local wrestling matchs in Lameque at the arena which I try to go with my son. The local hero is Marco who sometimes fights the Snake and this is excellent wrestling. The whole show I find hilarious. Anyways the last show they had a wwf legend as a guest who was The Honky Tonk Man. This guy is a gentleman who stayed true to the sport of wrestling. He was available before the match to talk to , shaking hands ,the whole bit. In the wrestling ring he partnered with Marco and showed that he could still show his stuff. It was a great night bringing back lots of memories of when wrestling ruled. I think a rematch with Hulk Hogan is in order and why not have it in Lameque!!!! oh yeah check out my Honky Tonk wrestling figures!

Dump Diving!!!

I discovered a old dump last week in the woods down by the campground so I took some pics of my treasures. I admit I have some other old bottles so these will look great in my collection. I especially like the old Brunswick bottles one was bottled in Edmundston NB and the other some place in Maine, the other is a old Coke probally from the 50s. I will have to open a ebay account... Raptors are done,,, Good season, wish it could of gone into the second round ...

Lobster and Crab season started Monday and Trout today..

The snow has melted so now I dont have any excuses not to work at the campground! This year there is not much to do but cut up all the trees that blew over and clean up all the dead stuff. This time of year is my favorite at the campground cause there is nobody there lol.. peace and quite, so Ive been busy there but today it was raining so I tried my luck fishing but didnt get anything... JH stewart called today ,thats the local Harley shop in Miramichi to say bike was finally ready.I brought it there in Febuary to fix my throtle cable. I tried to fix it myself but couldnt so I figured I would get my front tire put on plus a bunch of other stuff while it was there. I think they will do a good job , The mechanic seemed to know what he was talkin about.! The Raptors tonight , If they dont win its all over.. I dont know what to say, Im prayin for a miracle!!!!

The snows a going!!!

Monday was super nice +23 here, I know it was only a tease but a nice change. Today its super windy so the snow is disappearing fast. I went to the campground today and was surprised at how much snow melted.Last week Ludovic went there with the tractor blowing a path around so the ground would dry quicker.Its about half empty of snow on sites. I put my signs up today that I was working on over winter. Check out the pics. The stain turned a bit more orangier than I hoped but oh well... Raptors play tonight I got my proline tickets so if I win I get$1111,20 on a $5 bet!!!! Raptors have to win ...

NBA Playoffs starts today with the Raptors playing the New Jersey Nets.. Who could of guessed the awesome season the Raptors have had this season. They are a team who play unselfish basketball with lots of ballplay. I cant think of one player who doesnt add a element to their team. With Chris Bosh he is a leader among leaders. I like what Mo Pete said of Chris being a warrior which is right on.... So it is pretty ironic that they are playing their old teammate Vince Carter who is the opposite of what the Raptors now represent.There is no doubt that Carter is a awesome basketball player and paired with Kidd who knows what can happen but the Raptors are a younger , more mature , unselfish , well rounded team!!! I cant wait to see Carter cry like the big spoiled baby he is!!! Raptors are gonna eleminate the nets in 7 tuff tuff games!!!!!

Bird Feeding!!

Yeah Im getting old, I bought a birdfeeder. Put the feeder out the other day and its kinda interesting to watch the birds. At first I got a couple cute little birds but now all I get are flocks of blackbirds and crow who keep eating all my food. I had to put more food in today so all they do is eat and shit on my truck. My birdfeeder may become the stingyest on the street if they keep pigging out.I got a field guide to bird identification so all i do is look in my book and I find out what kind they are. So far 3 different species, the one in the picture is a Common Grapple... you can tell from its purple head!! Ill keep you posted.

Free movies and music!!!

My neice told me about a program to lownload for free music. I dont know if Im out of touch or just a little old but I just found out about this so I thought I would pass it on... For music and video download limewire... Its a program that swaps files with other users and its pretty fast, highly recommended... For on demand movies and tv shows like The Office go to Alluc.org , Alot of times you can watch movies that are still at theatres, not the best quality but just as good... enjoy!

I was planning on buying tickets to Sundays game but just found out the Titans lost last night. I guess Cape Breton and Luc Bourdon were to strong. Too bad, the Titans had a good season, I was hoping for more... NHL Hockey playoffs looks like all tight matchs...GO Islanders and Penguins plus the Canadian teams...

I just found out one of my favorite authors from when I was younger died yesterday. I think he was 83.I read everyone of his books. I think he was one of the funniest guys in the world and probally one of the smartest too.He taught me the secret to life. kilgore Trout.

Crab season opens soon!!!!

The wharf here in Shippagan is once again busy with everyone getting ready for snow crab season to begin. These guys will make a couple millon bucks in six weeks, the deck hands making maybe hundred thousand bucks then getting full UI for the rest of the year. lol they will go for 5 or 6 days at a time in the open Atlantic,It could get pretty scary... I dont know if I could handle being out in the ocean like that. Its a exciting life for sure.. I hope they all make lots of money so they will all come camping at Pokemouche Camping... lol Its funny you talk to them and in the summer the last place they want to be is at the beach , by the water, they all love the woods.

Easter Snow

The Easter bunny found us and left a bunch of snow too... The leafs got rid of the Canadians last night , too bad all hockey games arent as exciting as that one was. I guess thats what happens when two crappy teams play each other. Playoff hockey is about all goaltending. I miss Patrick Roy. Hes one of the nastiest SOBs out there!! Was sad to see Montreal go, Ryder was on fire... Im real nervous about the Islanders, kinda think they will win today then both my favorite teams will be gone.I still have the Penguins. Raptors play today too but they all ready got their playoff spot, cant wait!!

The Dragon season is over!!!

Well Hockey season finished in Shippagan-Lameque this weekend after our final tournament. We played 2 games Saturday and 2 Sunday. Its a alot of fun for the kids and parents especially watching all the players improve over the season. We won all our games though your not sopposed to count points, on the final game a couple of young kids got their first goals, talk about exciting, Minor Hockey exists because of dedicated fans but it can be alot of work .Sonia volunteered all weekend, she was pretty tired by Sunday night. Tim Hortons also does alot providing all the shirts, medals,bevarages,good doorprizes plus this year giving real cool 6ft Sydney Crosby posters. That kid is amazing, I think that Sydney may win the cup this year. Im a Toronto fan but Im going to jump on the Penguins bandwagon!.... Raptors continue to do super, Playoffs are going to be awesome!!... go Habs!...lol...University hockey in Moncton, how cool was that UNB vs UdeM Had to go for Moncton even though I did go to UNB for a bit, thought Moncton played a better game, overtime baby, coulda gone either way... Moncton woulda flipped , to bad!!! It was nice to see those two teams in finals, Classic baby... New Brunswick loves its Hockey!!

old projects

Ive been working on the campground signs for quite awhile and am now finally almost finished. I just have to sand , sand and then stain. It turned into alot bigger job than I planned. These pics are of three tikis that I have been slowly working on every now and then, actually lost interest in them and am just trying to finish them. Im looking for some big cedar stumps to start a new 6ft project , getting sick of the small stuff... Oh yeah posted a pic of my stove which I used alot this winter !!!

Our old car has been found!!!!

I sometimes try to make it to the Great Canadian Auction on Mountain Rd which hold auctions every wedsday night. Ill usually check their website to see what they got. I was surprised to see our old car so I called my wife to ask if she remembers her old plate number, I wasnt surprised she did cause she has about the best memories for numbers Ive ever seen. It was the same car!! That car was the first PT Cruiser sold in Moncton. When she first bought that car Ive never seen such a commotion, anywheres we went people were pointing, coming up to us wanting to talk about the car, asking to sit in it.. It was a blast to drive just for the attention. Most people liked it some didnt,lol. You could have a new Corvette or the PT and people would check out the PT. Was it a good car... For what it was it was a awesome car (a small family chick car)We had it for 5 years, the longest she ever kept the same car and never got sick of it. It always worked well, never had any problems. I see it has over 200 000 kms now, when she got rid of it it had 160 000. I think it still should be a good car.I wonder if the dent in the back is still there where she backed into the barbeque... Maybe Ill go and buy it back. Its funny all the memories are car brings back...It even has the same conservation plate with the Salmon on it lol Too funny

The Office

The Office has to be one of the funniest shows on television. I love it, all the cast crack me up. Its one of the only shows where Ill laugh out loud to...man, that shit is funny!!!Jim Carrel :is the bomb, The Raptors are on fire. Did they kick the Timberwolves butt or what. Its no wonder they are number 1 in their division and 4th overall. You should call Chuck Swirsky and tell him he should hook boomboomtiki up with some playoff tickets cause they are going all the way. I almoxt choked on my clubhouse sandwich after that awesome win.
